Pierce nurtured a deep interest in classical music from childhood, just turned the age of 21, he earned 5 diplomas in piano performance including the highest level FRSM. On his music learning path, he deeply comprehended that professionalism and perseverance are the key factors of success. The idiom “Mastery of study lies in diligence” is his motto. Pierce is now a pianist, accompanist, tutor, composer.
Teaching
In music, not only techniques are important, musical sense are needed to be developed. In the lesson, rather than saying “helping”, “inspiring” would be fitter in his education, different kinds of music activities will go through according to levels. Moreover, getting rid of “Stage Flight” is always a barrier for a musician, have a trial lesson, and learn more about it. All the inspiration you have in the lesson, will cultivate you to enjoy in music.
Experience
Pierce is a music teacher at school, a piano/theory tutor, piano accompanist in Hong Kong for the past 10 years. After finishing his first degree and all the piano diplomas, inspiring students to be a musician but not a "music robot" becomes his goal to teach.
